Invest Bristol & Bath showcases West of England's smart city vision at Barcelona Expo

Invest Bristol & Bath proudly promoted the West of England Digital Plan and the region’s investment opportunities in smart cities and the digital sector at the Barcelona Smart City Expo World Congress. The team represented the West of England at the UK Pavilion, organized by Connected Places Catapult.

In collaboration with 15 partners from UK regions and academia, including London & Partners, Liverpool CA, Digital Birmingham, Thames Freeport, and Manchester, the team hosted the UK Region's Business Breakfast and Networking Reception and participated in the Department for Business and Trade’s Freeports and Investment Zones Reception.

They also contributed to three UK stage discussion panels, focusing on smart city innovation, digital infrastructure, and an inclusive digital future. The event, which annually attracts industry executives, government leaders, academia, and entrepreneurs, saw over 750 visitors to the UK regions stand, with the team engaging directly with more than 100 companies.
