Invest Bristol & Bath champions green economy at Farnborough Air Show
The Invest Bristol & Bath (IBB) team made a significant impact at the Farnborough International Air Show, engaging with a diverse array of visitors, businesses, and government officials over a dynamic five-day event. This year's show was a key platform for promoting the region's leadership in sustainable and innovative aviation.
The first day concluded with the South West Space Partnership networking reception, an event that highlighted the collaborative efforts of the Cornwall Space Cluster and Space West. This reception, funded by the UK Space Agency, was a celebration of the South West's burgeoning space industry. Over 80 companies specializing in SpaceTech and Sustainable Aviation participated, generating discussions about future opportunities and collaborations.
Day two of the air show continued the momentum, with the team connecting with numerous companies keen to explore the West of England as a potential base for their operations. The region was presented as an ideal location for new headquarters, thanks to its supportive infrastructure and vibrant business environment.
West of England-based companies visited the stand to discuss enhancing their regional presence, receiving assurances of ongoing and future support. Exciting meetings with existing and new trade representatives hinted at the prospect of stronger inward investment and robust outward trade relationships.
