They have a history going back over 180 years and a reputation for high quality service in the UK and internationally.
Wardell Armstrong support their clients in embracing the challenges of climate change and to help in the delivery of a more sustainable carbon neutral future. Projects range from renewable energy technologies, sustainable infrastructure and built development, sustaining social, environmental and economic improvement for all and facilitating a progressive diversification away from “carbon intensive” activities.
“With support from the Invest Bristol & Bath team, we have been able to develop partnerships with the local universities which will support our future recruitment and put us in a position to offer placement and internship opportunities focussing initially on our waste, energy and climate change sectors.”
Due to the success of the company’s growth and the desire to support more clients across the south west, Wardell Armstrong have recently opened an office in central Bristol with the team specialising in waste and resource management, energy, climate change and ecology. Bristol was deemed a perfect location for the company’s expansion due to its close ties with teams in Cardiff and Truro, strong transport links to the rest of the UK, access to talent, a clear drive for more environmentally conscious development, and access to engage with the vibrant and thriving business community.
Having an office located centrally in the city, close to public transport connections and with plenty of space to host meetings and events, creating a space for both staff and clients to work and connect was a key part of the decision to grow in Bristol.
“They (IBB) have also been great support in recommending relevant networks that our team should engage with, and sharing their local knowledge to help embed us into the local ecosystem.”
Wardell Armstrong’s aim is to grow the team to ~20 employees in Bristol over the coming years, ranging from graduates to senior technical members of staff, as they support a wide range of clients across the environmental and engineering sectors.
